Previous to Nabors Industries, Tony Petrello was a practicing attorney with a focus on general corporate law and international arbitration. He was the former managing partner for Baker & McKenzie, Attorneys at Law and located in New York. Petrello earned a law degree (Juris Doctor JD) from Harvard Law School and a Bachelor of Science (BS) and Master of Science (MS) degree from Yale University in Mathematics.
Petrello is also a board of director with Hilcorp Energy Company and Stewart & Stevenson, LLC, as well as occupies a seat as a Board of Trustee for the Children’s Hospital in Texas. He is also an enterprising advocate for clinical programs and research that address, as well as treat the needs of children with neurological disorders. Their dedication to the hospital is a direct result of the struggle they have with their first born who was born prematurely and as a result developed a neurological condition that left the child incapacitated. As they struggled to find answers, as well as seek out a medical facility to treat their child, the family sadly discovered there was very little research for the medical trauma they were facing. That drove Petrello and his wife to jump into the deep end of the research pool and work to fund research and hopefully an answer for their child.
